Inexpensively produced in large quantities, powerfully communicative with strong graphic designs and imagery, the posters created by the artists of the WPA/FAP proved an important and effective medium for informing the public about the various opportunities made available to them by the NYA and similar agencies. Other educational venues that the posters promoted included the WPA-run Workers Education Program, designed to encourage adult education, and the Womens and Professional Division, which provided training in home economics and health care. Public lectures also provided for the dissemination of information dealing with such topics as parenting, scientific research advances, the environment, and current events. These educational opportunities were publicized with posters created by the FAP.
